Re: So what's gone wrong this season?
The problem is I really couldn’t stand these owners getting things right now, but the way they invest into the football side of THEIR business assures me they are nowhere near capable. Hope they take the loan money as the bank balance will look good for them but they’ve still missed the point of any sport especially football.

Re: So what's gone wrong this season?
I believe it has mainly been rolled up so we are paying them interest on interest at a fantastic rate as it compounds.

Decent owners wouldn't be charging any interest, but it is "simple" interest, not compounded. Not yet paid out, but rolled up, as Sven says.

Per the last published accounts £45 million of loans were due to be repaid to shareholders on 1st January this month. If they were, can't see us spending much this month.

Could have rolled the loans over/deferred repayment, of course.

All pretty normal, high expectations all fucked up by Christmas followed by a winter struggle to secure premier league.
On the bright side, looking better than normal at the moment as we’re still in the cup.

Re: So what's gone wrong this season?
Going back to player recruitment, there’s also the inconsistency with manager choices as well. Bullock dumped most of allardyces signings as soon as he could but then made a lot of terrible ones himself then moyes came in and was given a few lobs then Pellegrini arrived and ended up selling the two biggest signings made before him in arnie and Hernandez, now moyes is back again.

There’s no vision or strategy for anything other then ‘let’s tell the fans we want to be good but pocket as much cash as we can along the way’

: So what's gone wrong this season?

I think that's the wrong question.
It would be a lot easier to answer the question 'what's gone right this season?':

Pretty much fuck all as far as I can see.

As long as the lying pornographer crooks are in charge we're always going to be a massively underachieving laughing stock.

And the worst thing is that drip by drip the cunts are slowly killing my love of the club.

Re: So what's gone wrong this season?
If only they stuck to accounting and financial consulting and left the football side of things to the specialist in that area.

They’re narcissistic accountants, which must be some kind of psychotic disorder in its own right.

Sven Roeder 9:28 Mon Jan 20
Re: So what's gone wrong this season?
They are earning interest they wouldnt get elsewhere on such a risk free investment
And I’m not sure what part of their empire is actually ‘lending’ the money and earning the interest .... one that doesn’t pay tax possibly.
And when they sell and all these loans get paid out in full before settlement maybe they are putting more of the value of the sale into the tax-free don’t-have-to-pay-some-to-the-govt part of the transaction

Hammer and Pickle 9:18 Mon Jan 20
Re: So what's gone wrong this season?
The interest scam is probably a tax dodge to avoid corporation income tax.

what went wrong was those cunts still owning the club

Sven Roeder 9:12 Mon Jan 20
Re: So what's gone wrong this season?
Why the 4%-6% interest ?

Because they were embarrassed into reducing it from 8%

On a debt that is almost completely risk free from their side

Have they taken the interest?
I believe it has mainly been rolled up so we are paying them interest on interest at a fantastic rate as it compounds.

It’s a scam
A very lucrative scam

Apart from two the players don't give a fuck about the club or the fans. Players seem unfit and switch off for most of the match. Should of sacked Afghan Hound in November.

Brady takes the decisions and she doesn’t give a toss about the football side of things.

Re: So what's gone wrong this season?
Bar most of what people have already written recruitment has been a shambles for a while now. No one at the Club seems to ask the question, "right, what do we need, where do we need to strengthen, what type of player will improve the team?!"

The fans can name full backs, central midfielder, another forward as necessities but the Club and their two voluntary scouts can't!!! I can only imagine Pellegrini was stopped in his tracks by the board with transfers. Either they didn't back him as much as he wanted or they didn't trust him with more after what he had already brought in, unless of course it was Sullivan doing the buying!!

It is just so unprofessional. Let Hernandez go because he can't play up front on his own and buy another striker, albeit taller, but who also can't play on his own! Ironically Haller/Hernandez might have worked but only in a two but we have a pedestrian ageing midfield that gets over run with one up front let alone two!!

Simply whoever is in charge of transfers bought too many flimsy fancy dan's and didn't actually see what was needed!

Re: So what's gone wrong this season?
They’ve told the fans a few things about the interest:

1) There was none
2) They weren’t taking payment until they sold the club

As you’d expect neither of those things were true.

They had to reduce the interest rate too due to negative comments from fans once the rate was understood.

Hammer and Pickle 8:17 Mon Jan 20
Re: So what's gone wrong this season?
Nothing wrong as far as the Daves are concerned. They clearly see this as an entertainment/merchandising venture first and a sporting project only a distant second if that.

Relegation might mean the have to sell up to cut their loses, but they’ve factored that in.

They’d be a million miles more in touch with the fans’ agenda if they were six foot under.

Did they? I thought they deferred the interest due.

In 2017-2018 the onwers took nearly 15 million in interest from loans they gave to the club.

Thanks for the loans but why the 4-6% interest rates?

It is only making it harder for us to compete whilst they line their pockets even more.

You'd think so, BLBB.

These cunts rely on youtube and football manager by the looks of it.

Re: So what's gone wrong this season?
Regarding the recruitment. For £1mm a year, surely you could have a head scout on 100k, then 10 or so scouts on 60k a year, spread across the globe, who's job was exclusively to source players for the club. France is obviously the gateway to North African/African footballers - having 1/2 on the guys there would make ample sense.

Also, I've watched the Europa League over the last few years, there's some really good players coming out of Switzerland etc.

Every 2 months, you have a conference call with the manager detailing exactly the brief we are looking for - ranging from the development squad to first team - and the players the scouts have on their radars.

Is this not be what a club of our size should be doing?
